Fragmented information
Reports, questionnaires and observations sit in different places.
OUR PURPOSE
Threadline is a social enterprise: a business created to solve a social problem, with that purpose built into how it operates. We exist to help children and families receive earlier understanding, clearer pathways and better coordinated support.

THE PROBLEM
ADHD assessment and care can be delayed, fragmented and difficult to navigate. Families may wait months or years, pay significant private costs, repeat the same story across disconnected services and struggle to understand what information is needed or what should happen next.
Clinicians may receive incomplete information and spend scarce time gathering and coordinating evidence rather than focusing on clinical judgement. These barriers can be even greater for families facing financial, geographic or service-access constraints.
Reports, questionnaires and observations sit in different places.
Families are asked to explain the same history again and again.
The quality and speed of care can depend on location, cost and knowledge of the system.
WHO WE SERVE
Our primary beneficiaries are children and young people with possible ADHD, and the parents and carers supporting them.
We also aim to benefit:
WHAT THREADLINE DOES
Threadline helps families collect and organise the information needed for ADHD assessment and care. We bring together information from families, children, teachers and existing care providers into a structured, source-attributed picture that can be shared with the clinician.
Technology supports the coordination. Qualified clinicians remain responsible for assessment, diagnosis and treatment decisions. Threadline supports clinical judgement. It does not replace it.
OUR CURRENT FOCUS
Today, Threadline helps families prepare a structured Assessment Package and Assessment Evidence Report for their clinician. We are starting here because better preparation can reduce fragmentation, identify missing information and create a stronger foundation for the assessment process.
This is preparation, not diagnosis.
HOW CHANGE HAPPENS
When families are guided to collect and organise the right information:
The available evidence becomes more complete and easier to review
Families arrive better informed and prepared
Clinicians spend less time gathering background information
Scarce clinical time can focus on judgement, uncertainty and complexity
Assessment and care can become more coordinated and accessible
OUR LONG-TERM VISION
Over time, our vision is to build tools that support children and families from first concern through assessment, treatment and ongoing care. Our aim is not simply to make one appointment easier. It is to help the whole journey work better.
Helping families understand concerns and find the right pathway.
Bringing together the information required for a high-quality, whole-child assessment.
Supporting evidence-based care and coordination.
Helping families connect plans, reviews, outcomes and changing needs over time.
HOW WE WILL MEASURE OUR IMPACT
As Threadline launches and grows, we intend to monitor:
We are at an early stage. We will develop and publish our evidence as the service grows.
OUR COMMITMENTS
We design around the needs, dignity and control of families.
We use established guidance and clearly distinguish evidence from interpretation.
Threadline supports qualified clinicians. It does not replace them.
Families can review and control how their information is shared.
We aim to reduce financial, geographic and navigation barriers over time.
We will measure what works, acknowledge what does not and improve the service accordingly.
OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT
We are building Threadline so families spend less time assembling the story and more time getting the care and support their child needs.
