Research & Improvement Policy

Threadline Health Pty Ltd (ABN 69 692 845 391) | Last Updated: 7 July 2026

1. Two Separate Activities

Threadline distinguishes between two different activities that both rely on de-identified information:

Product Improvement

Using de-identified information to improve Threadline itself.

Research

Using de-identified information for ethically approved research into ADHD assessment and care.

These are separate activities. You can choose to opt in to one, both, or neither, inside the Threadline platform. Your choice about one does not affect the other, and neither affects your ability to use Threadline.

2. Product Improvement

If you choose to opt in through the Threadline platform, we may use de-identified information to:

  • improve Threadline and make it easier to use
  • improve assessment preparation
  • develop future assessment, diagnostic and care technologies
  • improve clinical decision support
  • evaluate product performance

This helps us make Threadline more useful and reliable over time, for your family and for families who join later.

3. Research

If you choose to opt in separately through the Threadline platform, we may use de-identified information to:

  • support ethically approved research
  • improve ADHD assessment
  • develop future diagnostic and care technologies
  • contribute to a better understanding of child development

Research participation is optional and won’t affect your use of Threadline. It is a separate choice from Product Improvement above.

4. What Does “De-Identified” Mean?

Before information is used for Product Improvement or Research, we remove details that could reasonably identify you or your child.

We do not use your child’s name, contact details or other directly identifying information for these purposes.

5. What We Never Do

  • Sell your personal information.
  • Share your child’s identifiable information for research without your explicit permission.
  • Use your information for advertising.
  • Allow other organisations to identify your child.

6. How to Opt In or Change Your Choices

Whether to participate in Product Improvement, Research, both or neither is your choice, made through the relevant screens inside the Threadline platform, not by reading this document.

You can review or change these choices at any time in Settings. Changing your mind will never affect your ability to use Threadline.

7. Learn More

For more detail on how we collect, use and protect information generally, see our Privacy Policy, including the “How Consent Works” section.

Every family who chooses to participate helps us move one step closer to our mission: Every Child Understood.
